Welcome. Thank you for taking the time to visit and for your interest in my work.
I am a landscape and astrophotographer from Phoenix, Arizona. My main goal is to showcase the awe inspiring beauty of Arizona under the brilliant canopy of the night sky. Long before I ever picked up a camera and decided to compose a photograph, I grew up loving the outdoors and exploring. I consider it a great privilege to have been raised in Arizona, where we have an incredibly diverse array of climates, terrain, vegetation and wildlife. From the iconic Sonoran Desert to the lush high country, and from the depths of The Grand Canyon to the alpine tundra of its highest peaks, Arizona has surprises and delights around every corner and has continued to intrigue me with its mysteries. I picked up photography as a hobby in 2008, but it really became a passion only a few short years ago in 2014, when I received my first Nikon and started shooting night photography. Since then, it has transformed my life and given me a deeper sense of purpose. As our cities grow and our skies become more polluted with artificial light, the hauntingly beautiful view of our cosmos diminishes. The ancient light from distant stars is concealed and we lose a sense of imagination and wonder that has been a part of our history since the dawn of humankind. My goal is to capture that ancient light and embrace it before it is lost. Perhaps I will inspire others to preserve it for future generations, so they can look up at the night sky and imagine and wonder too. I hope you enjoy my work.
